Oh. What did you invest in?
I’m actually down to 3-4% YTD mainly due to heavy bets on SaaS that have so far not paid off.
Micron, NBIS, and SLS
Some other stuff, but those three are carrying the portfolio hard. Especially the last one, as I bought LEAPs, went from 4% of portfolio to 14%.
I’m such an idiot. I wrote about the upcoming hardware shortage and even stockpiled RAM/NAND for my own personal use but didn’t even think to invest in it ![]()
Invest in what you know.
I was technically too late too, I looked at Mu and SanDisk already last year but thought they ran up too much already at the time. Luckily I did change my mind beginning of this year. It’s been a rough July, but I genuinely think Mu can do another 50%. Samsung just announced they’re hiking prices on DRAM and recovered 8% today.
M35, I reached the 1M CHF milestone today (including P2+P3)
. I have been living in Switzerland since 2016, and I’ve been tracking my NW since 2019.

The tiny red part (1.5%) is Crypto. I recently decided to build a small position and plan to DCA until I hit 1 BTC.
The graphs are automatically generated by Gemini, since I have my numbers in a Google Sheet.
Hey .. may I ask which tool you are using for this? Parqet?
“Self made”, built with Claude Code. It uses Laravel, PHP and SQLite in the backend. Apart from wealth reports/forecast, there are also features for budgeting and covered call/cash secured put yield calculation & graphing.
I use the tool only for overall wealth tracking. Once per month (usually after receiving the salary & payment of all outstanding invoices) I add a “snapshot”, which means recording the balance for every account/asset. The tool then calculates gains/losses/forecast/etc
To track stocks/dividends, I use DivvyDiary.
What was your salary in the last 5-6 years?
20k in Real estate? What exaclty is this..?
My question is unrelated but what claude plan do u use to build such an app?
A hobby room / “Disporaum” / “Bastelraum”, ~10m2 with (hot) water and electricity. I bought it (Stockwerkeigentum) for 18k and invested around 2k to install Swisscom FTTH, so I guess the value is around 20k. Initially, I wanted to rent out the room, but then I decided to use it myself.
Also I have a small amount of the UBS DIRECT Residential fund.
The 17$ plan. But not sure if code is still included.
Yes, it is
I almost did something similar. 30sqm but could have been adapted to be able to live in (I guess not allowed as primary residence). For 60k and low NK, part of me wishes I went ahead with that one.
Likely not allowed at all, whether primary residence or not. You must not sleep, or rent a place for someone to sleep, if it was an underground place or without windows. So unless the hobbyraum was on the ground floor with windows you can actually look outside, you must not live in it. Same if it was at the ground floor but with iron bars in front of the windows. Reason beeing is the fire police rules. They are fairly strict about this (which makes sense) and xou better don‘t mess around with these rules.
There is usually a reason why s room was a „bastelraum“ and not a tiny flat.
As far as I know, you are allowed to sleep there, but it must be an exception, since it’s not considered a permanent living space. So regardless of whether you’re playing with your model railway 24/7 or sleeping there 24/7, what matters is whether the room is being used as living accommodation rather than as a hobby room. An occasional overnight stay is generally not the issue, but using it as your regular place to live would be.
If I miss the last train, nobody can force me to sleep outside.
The point is that no-one can sue you if you yourself slept there and died in a fire. So less of an issue (kind of) if you sleep there yourself.
But if someone else sleeps there, or sleeps there with you, I wouldnt risk it for a single night. These things go well - until they don‘t but if they go wrong, you are in very deep shit.
Especially if you rented the place to someone else, or the other Person that slept there couldnt decide on their own / was depemdsmt on you (like your kids).
Gross total
I’ve officially surpassed 100k in cash and investments (excluding my 2nd and 3rd pillar retirement accounts). It feels great to reach this milestone!
Next goal: 100k invested. If everything goes according to plan, I should hit that milestone before the end of the year. ![]()
