Go to the other forum, register with a throw away E-Mail address, ask them if they support free speak on political topics, wait two days to see hoth if your user gets blocked and how the community responds, deccode then if you invest time in the new forum. But DO NOT ask us here about the other playe (other than PMs to members you know where active there as well).
And general advice, forget the hiccup here and move on - not nescecqrily from this place but from the issue.
It’s not the question per se. Rather, that the post as a whole repeatedly brings up the topic of “everything is bad here!!!111!!!1” again and again. I like it here! But I’m tired that for a week now, this one topic has been omnipresent in the forum. At some point, the topic must be ended.
But what is it that you want to discuss? This is a FIRE forum and the rules on no politics are clear.
The other forum you mentioned is neither a FIRE forum, nor a politics forum. I think the key is to find the right forum for your topics.
I also post a bit on AI etc. here and it is nice to have a bit of leeway to touch on off topic issues, but for detailed and in depth discussions on AI, I go to specific forums to discuss the technical topics.

I don’t think it is an issue with a forum, just circumstances and things that happen which make people decide something different.
It’s simple. We should not discuss non-fire topics here. So I was wondering if anybody knows a forum where these other topics are being discussed. And yet I’m met with snarky comments, passive aggressive talk, calls for ending the discussion, sarcasm. People, really, I don’t need your negativity. Just keep on walking if this does not concern you.
Which goes back to my question: what topics do you want to discuss?
