I understand it differently.
Everything in SEPA is still free (so from EUR to other EUR account)
Any local transaction is also still free (CHF to CHF).
I guess the Swift transactions are not free (which were not free already if I remember right).

International Transfers, then “International payments”
hate this.
Recipient currency: EUR doesn’t exist. So I suppose from CHF to EUR is free, because my base currency is CHF. But if my base currency were EUR, I see for CHF 1.4 EUR
That’s how I read it too….
CHF to EUR must be free
Other way round not clear
Key message -: only convert what is intended to be spent
I also had my Revolut account suspended for several weeks, with no warning and for no apparent reason… Customer service is absolutely atrocious. Nobody cares, nobody knows anything.
Revolut is fine as long as it works… Now I put a maximum of 1000 francs for holiday spending but would never trust them with “real” money.
Hi there,
Does anyone has experience with Revolut as a bank in Switzerland? Basically if I should expect something different than neon for example. Like domestic transfers, recurring payments, mortgage payments, bills, etc. I am investigating the case I would transfer all the monthly income to revolut from a free Swiss bank, and use there all the pockets, budgets, payments etc. I do like some of the benefits they put in metal and investigating if worth the trouble of changing the bank or only use the card.
Thanks!
Expect, that your account may be blocked - there are numerous of complaints against Revout, if you search the web.
If I were you, I would always have a “real” Swiss bank as main account; e.g. a brick and mortar bank. I personally would use Revolut when paying in foreign currency and keeping as low cash as possible there.
Maybe they will change in future, but I am not expecting this to happen that fast.
Currently there is no functionality specific to Swiss banks. Somehow I have a doubt that you are eager to print out your bills and bring them to post to pay.
But using it as the only payment card - sure, why not.
I have my own reasons for not trusting Revolut. See. That doesn’t mean that I don’t use Revolut, but it would never occur to me to trust Revolut with more than ~1,000 CHF.
Make sure that your funds are secured upto 100,000 CHF like „free Swiss Bank“
I don’t really see the value of Revolut as a main salary account when Kantonal banks are free and secured and local.
Cantonal banks are free?
Not only cantonal banks, there are plenty of interesting offers.
Yes. At least ZKB is. Also the one in Aargau. I am not sure of others but I heard lot of them are also free
You can’t pay Swiss bills (QR code) with Revolut
Did anyone access the benefits like FT subscription, and the others? Do they work also in Switzerland?
I am having the same thoughts as OP. Revolut apparently is soon providing a personal swiss IBAN with QR Bill and ebill functionality. I cant find the source anymore (handelszeitung interview).
I wouldn’t use it to store cash though. But I like the convenience of the app as a daily driver. Will see how it goes…
Yes I am using the FT subscription. Since I would be paying FT directly otherwise, I dont mind paying the Ultra fee instead and getting all the other subscriptions as well.
It’s 3 chf maintenance fee by month on BCGE .
36 chf a year or 360 for 10 years is reasonable to sleep at peace.
I’m using revolut on day to day life
May I ask why? As for FX, Wir and Radiant are cheaper. Wir even lets you withdraw cash for free worldwide. I recently closed my Revolut account, since I have no need for it anymore.
Personally I find their virtual cards offer almost more valuable than “just” cheap FX fees.
For now this thread doesn’t seem to develop an independent story. What is your opinion, should I merge it to the main thread about Revolut?
Does anyone else see shares in their investment tab in the Revolut app?
There used to be only commodities.
Did you get any news about this.
I can’t buy any because I can’t open a Deposit account.
I am using it for daily payment in Switzerland with chf.
I like the instant notifications and the virtual throwable cards for online payment.
I also use it time to time for trip outside of eurozone.
It’s allow you to withdraw cash.
I haven’t look WIR bank offer in detail neither use their mobile app.
