I signed up for it a few years ago on Black Friday for around CHF 25-27 per month (the subscription is only available around Black Friday, hence the name). No bundle. After that, I wanted to switch to Digital Republic, so I canceled and initiated the mobile number transfer.
After termination, someone from Yallo called and said:
- It’s a shame you’re leaving us, we’d love to keep you (the usual words).
- And then he said he had just given me a discount, effective immediately. I could check in the customer center. The cancellation is still active, so if I want to leave, I don’t need to do anything. But I can keep the discount if I cancel the transfer with Digital Rebulic.
The call lasted maybe ~60 seconds.
I then sent Digital Repubik an email and they simply replied, “No problem, your new subscription has been canceled at no cost.” The fact that both use the Sunrise network may have helped, but a few days later everything was back to normal in the Yallo customer center as if nothing had ever happened, but the discount remained in place as promised.
