Struggling with career path currently. Any ideas?

True management can’t be a dying breed in any field, and especially less in fields with highly skilled technical people who’d rather deal with difficult challenges in their area of expertise than spend a significant amount of time dealing with the acquisition of resources to be able to adress these. A good manager is all about making sure resources are skillfully allocated within their team/the company, so that techical people can work their magic.

Bullshit management, on the other hand, should be a dying breed in all fields. It would be wonderful news if IT is getting rid of it and showing the way for other experts.

To be fair, if you are not a freelancer, then those salaries do not reflect the „regular“ salaries in Zurich. Only a handful of companies are that generous. But of cours salaries and living costs tend to be higher in the region of Zurich.

I agree with MrCheesse.
If you work like a “freelance” it’s easy to make 250k. A lot of small-mid IT companies has this model.
