Raiffeisen Banks (Switzerland)

Wrong. You can use the QR on the memberplus portal. I tried it and it works. Just beware that it changes from time to time, I suppose every year? They should tell that because I tried to store it as an image (I’m lazy) and it didn’t work. I had to login on my phone to get it .Login on memberplus portal, not ebanking.

Thanks. The museum I tried refused anything but the plastic card. I will try again using the QR code through Add to Apple Wallet under the QR code. The QR pass in the wallet shows the expiration date.

Which museum? I did check a couple of museums on MemberPlus’ portal and they say they accept both methods.

Is the account card (valid only on Raiffeisen atm) not valid?

No. Example:

I don’t have a card and use the QR. Maybe from next year I’ll use the card since they kind of force it on me.(Or not. Not sure. do they give a Maestro with the new 48chf/y offer?)

Can’t remember the name of the museum but it was in a small town in Valais. This was at the entrance to the museum and maybe the person was not up to date?

They refused the account card which is why I got the debit card but now it seems you can use the QR code generated on the MemberPlus portal and add it to the Apple wallet.

There is now a QR code from Raiffeisen that you can use to show that you have Museum Pass. Have to be renewed every year! You can download a PDF (or did I printed the web page to PDF?) and show the zoomed code on the phone.

I cancelled my card.

This corresponds to Raiffeisen’s conditions.

As mentioned I now downloaded the QR code to my Apple wallet.

To save the 50 CHF fee?

Do you use Twint?
Of so, the fee still applies. :upside_down_face:

Yes, of course!

All the time!

No they don’t .

Haha, so that must also depend on the Raiffeisen bank.

And you’re sure they haven’t deducted you 50 CHF in the last 12 months?
It’s not like you get a notification or anything.

I use Raiffeisen with a cooperative share, without a debit card, with Twint, at no cost. But I’ve also read about people who can no longer activate Twint new (i.e. after changing their smartphone) without a chargeable debit card. No idea if that’s true. If it were to cause problems, I would simply switch to prepaid Twint. Fortunately, this is less of a problem.

The only thing I have reliably learned so far: The Raiffeisen fees are different depending on the Raiffeisen cooperative - a bit tedious.

Just check your local bank. It’s a bit tricky to find the pdf but you can do it.

It’s not that I don’t know that. It’s just tedious for discussions with friends or for discussions online (like here). Different price structures for basic things is just dumb. Theoretically, we would need one thread per Reiffeisen Bank here in the forum, that’s how stupid it is.

It is true, I called them, you cannot activate without card. So I switched to ZKB :rocket:

I cancelled my card 2 years ago to avoid the 50.- charge, and also because I didn’t needed it at all.

I’ve contacted Raiffeisen by answering their message regarding the new tarifs, and I’ve got a confirmation that I won’t be paying the 48.-, because I don’t use the “package”.

To be confirmed if I my member plus pass will be renewed after it expires, but right now I still have access to my member plus account.

it shouldn’t be renewed according to their rules.

are you sure ? I’m still a shareholder.
