Congratulations everyone here today
Seems it’s time for another
“No” was 62%.
I keep telling myself to be humble and accept the idea that I can’t and I shouldn’t predict anything in investment.
It’s a speculative asset, not an investment, according to the definition from Ben Graham.
In this sense, you can keep making your predictions.
Happy 100K btc folks !
I invest in MSTR
I save in BTC
If you like bitcoin at $100,000, you’re going to love it at $1 million.
VoilĂ
I talked to friends and work colleagues about Bitcoin when it was at $16k. They laughed. Who’s laughing now. Happy $100k
…but but but i heard it’s bad for the environment and it has no use case. HFSP
Congratulations to BTC holders.
still haven’t seen anything disproving this tbh
Maybe at 1m$ in 9 months…
VIAC sold a part of my IBIT yesterday. LOL
Max 5% means forever selling
Sure nobody is expecting that. You are buying something that is orders of magnitude less risky as well.
The same argument can be said that most people that come to this forum and end up buying VT because it is generally a good approach for it’s stability vs gains ration. Almost nobody is recommending them to buy penny stocks even if those can go 100X and VT won’t. So in the end I don’t your argument is that sound as in that technically what you said is true, except the conclusion/implication.
I am not sure I understand
You agree with what I said - so what is not sound?
I am not trying to define if it’s good or bad to invest in BTC or not. It’s individual choice.
I just said , the times are over where one could generate 10000X returns. But I think you also agree to that
If it makes you feel better I have a not insignificant amount of money in BTC and joined rather early (compared to most people) and I was one of the No’s. In hindsight the US elections really light the spark.
Yes. that is a fact just because of finite numbers. However your original argument was that BTC will adoption/demand will slow down because people can’t reasonably expect to get 100x from it anymore. That is what I disagree with. You can’t reasonably expect to get 100x from VT either, and you can kind of get it from penny stocks, but it’s clear which one has more demand and is a better investment.
But maybe you didn’t imply that
I see
Ok. I just meant that for people who want to have significant returns, the charm will reduce. You might not agree but there are a LOT of folks who invested only because they consider it as asymmetric risk reward situation. A chance to be millionaire without investing significant amount of money. Such people typically move on to something else if something else offers a better risk reward.
If someone wants to invest with expectation of lower returns (versus past), it could still be fine.
It’s a very different situation for folks who just believe in BTC & its potential and would be happy even if it „just“ beats inflation over next 10 years.
