I voted 50k
It could go much higher than 100k but to me it’s just “irrational exuberance”
Except wasting electricity and natural resources to build semi conductors that stuff is really useless (same as gold finally )

Who is paid in bitcoin right and who uses it on its daily life?

Oh no I forgot it’s a good way to exchange money for criminal activities.

Congratulations all of you who have big amount of BTC. Just don’t forget how NFT have ended, take some profits and just don’t go all in BTC.

Donal Trump is a versatile guy so I bet here than in less than two years he won’t be Musk best friend. It could have consequences on the crypto mania.

Is 4% enough diversification?

Seems to be a poor excuse.
In the Financial Times yesterday

A UK-led operation has uncovered a multibillion-dollar money laundering scheme run out of London, Moscow and Dubai that enabled Russian spies and European drug traffickers to evade sanctions using cryptocurrency.

More than £100bn is laundered in or through the UK every year, according to NCA officials, up to £5bn of which is done via cryptocurrency. Tether has replaced bitcoin to become the “cryptocurrency du jour”, according to NCA officials, as its tie to the US dollar helps criminals to ensure the value of the money is retained.

NCA is the UKs national crime agency. This shows that most money from illegal activity is laundered in regular cash/currency. Think of all the seemingly dormant restaurants, $$$ art sales, jewelry etc.

While I understand other arguments, the illegal activity argument just seems lazy and without context oftentimes.

Until 5 or 10% why not?

The validity of that statement doesn’t rely on the price of Bitcoin. It can reach $1T and it still won’t matter to it.

I think @stojano meant that the 4% are diversified away from BTC.

Maybe even more importantly: made also ATH vs gold today:

Fortsetzung der Diskussion von Future of Bitcoin:

So it’s back to 0.04 ETH/BTC. Still unsure if I should stick with my 5.5 ETH and convert it once I’m able to get 0.3 BTC for it (0.0545 ETH/BTC) or if 0.04 is close to the ceiling.

Well, this is basically trading/timing. I made a pretty run last cycle that way and made quite some profit.
But IMHO I’m sure BTC will be more “worth” in 4yrs. With ETH is 50:50, it may or it may not. Nobody’s talking about a ETH strategic reserve.

I think so too as why I want to exchange my ETH into BTC. I just don’t want to miss out on more BTC. Would be a shame to get 0.22 BTC now and lose out on potentially having 0.30 BTC if I’ve have waited a couple of more months.

I would convert it

Btc doesnt really have a competitor.

ETH is up against solana and all the other blockchains doing smart contracts. In the end nobody knows which smart contract platform wins, if any.

It’s still going up as we speak. 0.0405 BTC. I think I should wait.

Cant tell you short term. Unfortunately i dont have a crystal ball.
But long term i think btc is the safer bet

If you trade you might want to put a stop loss order to secure your gains and retain upside potential

I’m not trading, I’m gambling. That’s what crypto is to me in general as there is no intrinsic value.
