I edited the link, i am not sure if its a personalized offer others might not be able to redeem it.
Thanks. You need to own a prepaid SIM… ![]()
Looks like a new leader on the lowest price/value race:
for 8 bucks you get:
- 60GB Daten in der Schweiz während den ersten 6 Monaten, danach 30GB Daten pro Monat
- Unlimitierte SMS & Telefonie in der Schweiz
- Unlimitierte Telefonie aus der Schweiz in die EU
- 1000 Min. Telefonie & SMS aus der EU in andere Länder
- keine Mindestvertragsdauer
- 3 GB of roaming (cited in the title but not on the list…)
The downsides IMO are:
- Salt Network
- doesn’t look like a proper subscription, if you miss a payment, you loose the offer.
Does anyone have experience with Lyca? (I am not switching from talktalk for now)
I’m with Lyca and every month I buy the 5.90 CHF option with 1GB of data (which is not enough for me but at least I limit myself with “scrolling” social and other useless stuff).
I have to say that I’m not super happy with coverage (like sometimes it disconnects even in the city or the signal is super weak). But this happens in particular spots and not everywhere I go.
I’m trying to click on the offer on the website you linked but the page doesn’t load
Did you try the link with inkognito?
They said its only for new customers, would be interessting to see if you will get it…
To be able to enjoy the monthly price of CHF 8.00, the customer must purchase the SIM card on this online page and keep the auto-renewal enabled to get the promotional price.
If offer expired or auto renewal fails due to in-sufficient balance, then customer will lose the promotion.
Extra Data is applied for first 6 month from purchase thereafter standard data allowance of 30GB will be applicable.
Not possible to transfer existing number from another provider?
You can, but the process seems to be very complicated.
Lyca also does not have the best review scores, when screening the interenet. A UK based company with - how different review says - incompetent staff.
I will wait on more news for Swype.
EDIT: please find here some questions and reviews, from the same homepage: Piratenpreis - Lyca Mobile Abos ab 8 Franken mit bis zu 300GB Highspeed, unlim. EU Anrufe & 3GB Roaming ohne Mindestvertragsdauer - Preispirat
Hi @logitacher , any news on that?
Btw: how does one “swype” if one is abroad? Do you have to connect with a local wifi first? Do you have to set yourself a reminder to swype before the 24h are over?

Hello! My current contract with Sunrise will not end until end of Feb 2024. I would like to sign up with Yallo for their black friday deal this year. Does anyone know if I need to pay Yallo btw the period of signing up the offer (Nov 2023) and finally porting the number (March 2024)?
Thanks!
Last time I used a black friday deal I was able to delay the start by a few months.
You will hava 2 months of notice. Starting march 2024 seems perfect!
Thank you for sharing. But Galaxus mobile is max CHF 19 per month, so not sure, if your vouchers make sense?
Did I miss something?
The first two letters are DC → those are vouchers for the former Digitec Connect.
In case anyone wants to know what I did recently:
- Stuck with Salt until 20.11.2023
- Registered with Galaxus mobile yesterday and already got a confirmation that everything will be ready by 20.11.2023
- One can terminate the contract with Galaxus mobile by each day within the first month. Afterwards you can terminate by end of each month.
- If there are good offers by Black Friday (you never know), I will be able to change effective immediately.
Not very ethical, probably, because I like the offer from Galaxus:
- No fake discount system
- Very fair price
- No inflation-linked price increase clause in the contract
- Sympathic branding
Who knows, maybe I will stay with Galaxus?
Why would they need one, if they can change their prices (and, even worse, their terms and conditions) for much more than the rate inflation at their whim, at any time?
“Galaxus Mobile reserves the right to change the services and/or contractual conditions (including prices, tariffs and fees as well as these GTC) at any time or to discontinue individual services”
At least you receive in this case a special right for termination - when looking at the T&C of other providers you do not have the right for early and penalty-free termination in case of inflation-linked price increase.
Therefore the T&C of Galaxus is - if you are asking me - quite fair.
The only question is, is the service good? Very interested in checking their network for these couple of days.
…only if the prices are “significantly” higher and the disadvantage to the customer is “considerable”.
Galaxus Mobile notifies the customer of changes which are associated with a considerable disadvantage for the customer (e.g. a significantly higher price of the connection, the adjustment of the connection, the discontinuation or significant restriction of a service) in good time in advance. In this case, the customer may terminate the contract at the time the change takes effect without incurring any costs.
This is Switzerland - they would argue that a price increase in line with inflation is not significant.
That said, the point is moot, since you can cancel each month anyway, on their current (and older, I believe) price plans. Just pointing out that the great, customer-friendly or “fair” thing in their case is, in my opinion, that they don’t have minimum contract terms and allow you to cancel any time - rather than their T&C.
Please, let us know… I’m tempted as well.
