Never had issues with Salt or Sunrise network. Mostly used them within cities, but not exclusively.
But not all areas are the same, so I always recommend checking first with friends in the same area which are on the specific network.

I got a renewal offer for my phone number with Salt, the Salt EU XL for CHF 29.95/month instead of the public CHF 39.95 offer:
- unlimited calls / SMS / Data in Switzerland
- unlimited calls / SMS / Data* in and to EU
* rate limitation after 10GB
I am tempted to go for it - is anyone aware of a better all flatrate CH/EU deal? also in the past (last black friday or so…)?

It’s probably not the same, but Yallo has the Yallo Black Start subscription, which gets you
- unlimited internet in EU/CA/US (40GB “fast”)
- unlimited internet in Switzerland, 60 min calls, unlimited SMS.
It’s 71, but with the discount I got it at 21.9, which is hella cheap, considering what you get. So maybe they’ll do the same again for Black Friday or something.
I only make calls through my messaging app (internet), so I don’t care about calls. And even if, then you pay the 3-4 bucks, but in the end I will always come out cheaper. But remember, you get what you pay for. Wingo (Swisscom) internet speeds were much better when in the EU, but I paid 45/m for that and literally never made any calls.
1 year ago I still had Yallo Black (or how that was called) including all of what @oswand mentioned for 25.-/month, without minimum duration.
I got rid of it as now I didnt need that much internet abroad & got much cheaper deal now with Galaxus.
However if I would need the roaming, I would wait for black friday for another 25-30 CHF Yallo offer (similar to this one in 2022).

For those having the Talktalk CH all inclusiv for 11.-- per month and are arriving at the end of their 24month contact, I asked them to add 1GB of data for EU and they simply accepted (it had been one of their offer Last black friday but I could not access it as I had to finish the 24months).
Sunrise network, no throtelling on data, possibilty to pay on your account in advance for automatic debit, no problem in 24 months experience. Can only recommend.

Not flat but 5gb roaming for 25chf.
As expected - yallo Black - at 23.90 now.
Or even Black start - at 19.90 (60min calls vs unlimited for CH).

FYI sunrise has the 5 CHF data SIM offer (We Connect Surf), unfortunately not lifetime but 24 months.

Wingo also has offers, including new “Red” plans.
The Wingo offers look nice, but remember that they do not provide 5G (only 4G) unless you pay 10.- on top/month.
How can this still fly in 2024.
