I think your friend should try to get in touch with some headhunting companies in Switzerland.
Reading from your description, your friend was working as a WIN platform engineer for HP (HPE, or now DXC).
Some of the stuff he mentioned are quite old and almost not used anymore, e.g. MSA/P2000.
Please don’t take that as an offense, but I think your friend should update his CV (leave out the 5+ years old stuff) and contact several headhunters in Switzerland. Not sure if his HP courses/certifications will help him a lot. It would be better if he has MSCA/MCSE or some of the newer Azure stuff.
