Hello,
I have a VT Etf, and it’s coted in Usd.
How I know the loss difference with chf?
I use ibkr
Is it wort to buy an Etf coted in chf instead?
You don’t need to do it.
You can choose to base all your reporting in ibkr to CHF so you will always see the value in chf.
You can simply use SPYI performance as proxy
Last 12 months -: 0.08%
2025 YTD -: (-)2.84%
3 years -: 31.2%
5 years -: 54.9%
And just in case you believe that the quoting currency has any impact on how much an ETF is worth, read this:
It has no real world impact apart from adding additional steps to accounting.
You are missing his point. He wants to know the currency adjustet return. If VT gains 5% in time period x, your return in CHF might be different due to currency flactuation.
There might be an IBKR report for this, but I don‘t know.
I am using the following free 3rd party tool for this:
He also played with the idea of changing to an ETF with another denomination, so the regular @Helix reminder is justified.
Personally I use PortfolioPerformance (GoogleSheet, or any other tracker of course also works), to see all my assets in one place and in CHF.

Buying it in CHF would make it though easier to show the your actual return.
