GameStop short squeeze

Ok so apparently CS weren’t allowing trades but are now.

Degiro allows buying GME and AMC as long as your order is a limit oder. Market orders are not allowed due to extreme volatility.

You can really spot the missing trading volume in todays market. The hedge funds are making the markets and driving the price today in their direction.

edit: left is yesterday, right is today.

Today i’m happier than ever to buy VWRL in CHF (and not whatever cheaper from US) and to do it using the suuuuuuper expensive PostFinance E-Trading!

How’s US option trading on PF?

Can’t buy GME at IB, cause blocked.
Can’t buy GME at my German broker, cause …missing W8-BEN/US tax documents.
Can’t buy GME at my other German broker, cause …no funds on the account.
Can’t buy GME on my third German broker, cause …account closed few days ago.

:exploding_head:

I am betting one share of GME (that I don’t currently own …yet) on that Schwab have something similar in their terms and conditions. It’s the US, after all.

As far as I know they don’t offer Options, or it’s well hidden in UI.

I can’t believe this is actually happening. And the 118 price is a cherry on top of the shit cake.

They were on margin?

I don’t know, but you’re right, it is likely I guess.

Then what would be better? Doesn’t RH have to do their job so that at least the people who are not playing the GME gamble don’t lose money.

“Market sell”?
Try limit sell.

Degiro still allows to buy GME but there are allowed price bands in place. I just tried buying with a low limit price and was informed that the lowest limit is $184. Stock price at time of writing was ~$221.

Edit: I just noticed this was already posted above but leaving my comment here due to info about price bands.

So I finally gave in and just bought 2 units of GME just for lulz.
Cost me only 33€ or something in fees (roughly 8.5% my order size) from the high street bank.

But then, at the current volatility, what’s 8.5% in transaction costs?

:rocket: or :fire:

This is getting worse and worse.

It’s not me, i saw on twitter. The order was set by RH and user can not cancel

Ouch… limiting it is somewhat reasonable.
Not being able to cancel is disgusting.

Apparently, first class action complaint agains Robinhood and thousand of people that wants to participate… It’s getting hot!!!
