Should have sold ETH at 0.58 BTC xD
Crypto fluctuations are of notoriously very high magnitude. I wouldn’t assess the valuation of any crypto asset based on a few days/weeks fluctuations. Your ETH could be worth 0.6 BTC tomorrow.
If I plan to sell my ETH for at least 0.06 BTC, shouldn’t I convert my BTC in ETH now?
My own view in investing is to go for good enough and never aim for perfect. If the conditions you have set for selling your ETH are met now, I would sell the ETH. Be aware that you might be subject to regret if ETH skyrockets afterwards.
On a side note, I would only consider investing or trading crypto if:
- I’m ok with the base product and its impacts.
AND
- I’m searching to daily trade high volatility assets and am ready to loose everything doing that (casino mindset).
OR
- I’m in it for the long haul, don’t fret the daily fluctuations at all, can stomach a -90% loss of value over a few weeks AND am ready to loose it all.
Very good time to take a position imo, we are consolidating just below the old ath and we are still pre halving. Potential upside is just too big to miss.
If you are not sure, how about cost averaging? It seems you are more afraid of making a bad deal, than you would like making a good one. Also, crypto exchanges normally don’t have minimum fees but just charge (rather low) percentages. You could sell 1% every day over the next 100 days.

can someone please enlighten me how MSTR did not just invent the infinite money glicht (till they dont)?
MSTR, sells stock → Buys BTC
BTC rises → Stock are more valuable
They issue more stock → Buy more BTC
BTC is more valuable → Stock rises
… well you get the point…
They issue more stock → Buy more BTC
BTC is more valuable → Stock rises
does this seem normal? Is this the “free lunch” every economic prof deams of? Do we all get rich (quick)?
It seems to me big players who have invested in BTC are also the ones who buy it to keep prices up. This is a dangerous game and it creates an impression that price will only go up which pulls more investors
The question is would they continue to do so or they will get out at some point leaving the retail investors hanging.
Time will tell
According to Saylor, MSTR will never sell the BTC.
Asuming Bitcoin does what’s supposed to do as store of value and always up against USD, and esecially with the new US accounting rules (from 2025? on), having BTC on the sheets is a competitive advantage which no company can avoid having none. If not this cycle, at latest the next one the big tech will have to have it on the sheets. And MSTR is a show case that’s working (so far).

How is your post an anwser to my question?
Did i write something about sell btc?
Please read again if you would like to discuss the topic further.
It’s obvious that Slayer wouldn’t say he is going to sell at highs.
But the question is , if he is using BTC as store of value then how come the value is increasing so fast? Has value of USD (for example) fell as much as BTC have gained over the last 5 years? Of course not.
I am not questioning the value of blockchain or BTC. I just feel there is some sort of manipulation going on here. I might be wrong though.
As long as the price of MSTR is in USD (and always go up due to BTC on the sheet and others joining the party) this will work forever. Price the stock in BTC and it will not work anymore.
What an elegant description of a Ponzi scheme!
Again, this is not a discussion. You are just parroting what i said. If you want do discuss please don’t just paraphrase my posts, the value is 0, you can then just put a like or another reaction.
This way we keep the topic at least a bit clean.
Thanks.
Isn’t it that the whole point of the Bitcoin maxis that the USD (and other fiat) is overvalued and is devaluating now against the hard Bitcoin. An overdue “event” (reflected also in the new bitcoin ETFs).
The only question is why aren’t the other big corpo doing it… The blue print is here. Apple has $160b in cash…
Well, as far as I understand store of value refers to the fact that goods and services that can be bought using as asset would continue to be of similar worth.
Cash is not store of value anyways and hence they lose value over years. This is why people invest their cash.
So let’s say USD lost 20-30% value over 5 years, you can say that it even lost 50% value. But what you could buy from one BTC 5 years back was much different than what you can buy today.Hence bitcoin being store of value is not really true.
It seems to be an appreciating commodity. Like lithium. However in case of lithium people have figured out a use of it to generate even more revenue or value. Regarding BTC, until now use cases seem to be theoretical (for example it can replace Banks). If the bitcoin network indeed replace banks and make banking transactions cheaper, easier, safer then we can say BITCOIN network should be worth similar to banks. If that were to happen then we can start to explain the rise in value so steeply.
Companies who have cash on their balance sheet use it in different ways. For them the use comes from liquidity. They are not using cash to make returns. To make returns they can simply invest it or give back to shareholders.
Replacing cash with BTC will reduce liquidity because it’s such a high volatile asset that one needs to keep being invested for a long period of time. 160 billion in BTC today can be worth 16 billion in one year or 1600 Billion. No one knows. If they were to invest in BTC, it would be considered as an investment and not replacement of cash.
The difference between Apple and MSTR seems to be that Apple makes money by selling iPhones and apps while MSTR’s main value proposition is that it holds bitcoins. For all practical purposes MSTR can be considered a bitcoin holding company. So, I don’t think we should compare Apple and MSTR.
MSTR is not showing any blue print to anyone. Someone even mentioned that Slayer says he will never sell BTC. But companies who hold cash need to use it for emergencies, strategic purchases and other purposes.
It reads like chatgpt
The blue print was posted above, they can just copy and paste. I think coinbase might be doing it, they opened a $1b convertible debt offering a few days ago.
