Freshly roasted coffee?

You could also try 3-in-1 packages to skip the extra step with the cream, and/or dump some ice cubes in it. Many ways to Rome

You had to pick Rome, too

Predictively getting roasted on the grounds of the instant coffee

I’m not following the thread closely, but just to let you know I finally decided to keep my job instead of FIREing because I have free coffee here.

And once amounted in my FI ratio, it changes the equation by much if I had to pay for it. So I’m stuck at work.

The aeropress is nice for a single cup. Quick to prepare and clean. With the filter you avoid the small leftovers grounds at the end of the cup you usually have with a french press. For a bigger group I often go for the french press.

Didn’t get it, doesn’t the saying translate to English? Or too cliche?

To add to the topic, while I’m not even sure I could differentiate a good coffee from a poor quality one, I found using a small grinder and then either french press or moka machine adds to the enjoyment, simply because because you spend time and effort to make it, like a ritual, rather than pressing a button on an capsule machine and just drink it up.

No, sorry, I was too vague. I meant to say that the saying of all things has an Italian city, the motherland of coffee in Europe (according to the Italians  ).

Oh that, got it. With all due respect to Italy’s contribution in popularizing coffee, gate keeping food and beverage recipes must be even more lame than using proverbs about Rome
So for once, if I unintentionally added insult to injury, I’m not sorry

I personally love the cafelat robot manual espresso machine. Awesome espresso for really cheap price. But it needs a decent grinder. French press is quite good when I dont want espresso.

I recently started on a pour-over V60, the learning process is fun, coffee tastes much better than Nespresso, and does not give me stomach ache! It takes a bit longer to get your coffee though, so only worth if you drink moderately.

Dear coffee enthusiast Mustachian fellows!
Do we want to organise a spontaneous mustachian coffee meetup somewhere in Zurich? I’d be up for that (well not too nerdy coffee-roasting-focused  ). Bridge has good spots with good coffee (Vicafe) at Europaallee.
Cheers!

So, if you’re at Europaallee you should go to Radix. It’s a snowboard shop but they make surprisingly good coffee (better than Vicafe, the coffee-nerd in me would say) at a good price for location (CHF5 for a cappuccino).
