My PJ is -8%
just a share buyback, although not on the open market, hence the fixed price
I did not accept the buyback offer.
Swatch is losing 5% today, apparently they got out of MSCI Global. I canât find any info about that and donât know what it could mean. Do they want to get out of the market?
Yeah interesting⊠I guess youâve read the same as here on finanzen.ch.
Die Zeit ist abgelaufen fĂŒr Swatch im MSCI Global Standard âŠ
The question was asked many times about share registration in IB. I asked them a couple of years ago: it is possible but it cost (once) round 300.- per share registration. I personally didnât think the dividend in nature for was worth this price for a Swatch watch that I wonât wear and could sell at an unknown price, or for a Calida pyjama which is comparatively much more expensive to what Iâm usually buying every X years.
What would be the cheapest options ? Swissquote (60 annuel fees + transaction fees one time) ? Do you have any other brookers that offer a better deal ?
TradeDirect: CHF 40 min custody fees (before VAT) and transaction fees one time.
If you intend to keep it for the longer run, a one time 300.- fee without custody fees might not be a bad deal if youâre only interested in a single stock. IBKRâs deal starts becoming way worse if there are two or more stocks youâre interested into.
Edit: any price you pay is still too much if youâre not actually interested in the product or could buy it yourself on the side for cheaper, though. That is unless you are interested in registering your shares for other reasons, like voting rights.
Could you in theory buy it here, register it, and then move it to IBKR? Or would you then lose the registration? Maybe the transfer just costs too much anyway to make sense.
No you canât. They would be deregistered
Thank you Wolverine. You have summarized it perfectly. In the long run, CHF 300.- isnât such a bad âinvestmentâ but only if the product is useful or can be sold. I get most of my pjâs at Primmark for 10-15$ and they last me yearsâŠ
DKB: Free (portfolio + share registration. If Iâm not wrong, one needs to have a âGirokontoâ that is (still) free if opened a few years ago, but now is 4.5⏠per month / free if 700⏠per month is transferred into the account)
I have 800⏠going back and forth once a month between revolut and DKB
wait. 300 one time, or 300 every year?
The trading account in post finance costs 90 per year. Flat, not by percentage. This can be good if it is cheaper compared to the percentage.
Just to get a refresh, apart from chocolate, watch and pajama, is anyone getting something else every year?
Thatâs the âtopâ ones, yes, but there are more, here is a reasonably comprehensive list IMO.
On the downside, Novartis has ditched their calendar the one received for 2025 will be the last one
so time to scratch that off the list.
On this topic, in November 2024 I returned the voting papers for my Barry Callebaut shares, the meeting took place begin December I think. Anybody got their chocolate yet? Iâm still waiting for mine
oh wow. Thatâs a lot more than what I know. Let me go through the list several times to see what I want. May I ask what shares do you have in order to get the gifts
Thank you for sharing the list. I didnât know that the Novartis calendar needs to be requested. And I didnât get anything from Hypi Lenzburg (except for the GV dinner invitation which I couldnât attend). Calida pijama is good though, it softens the pain of ever falling stock price
Thanks for the link, itâs interesting. I didnât know this blog, but I find it hard to read with all the affiliate links .
