Covid vaccines - First feedback from people already vaccinated and... what do you think about it?

any one here that did already the third injection?

Any one having direct view (any one working in hospital) on which is the true situation now? number are going up so fast but authorities are still very calm…
or de/at/it are cheating or ch authorities are really worried for the referendum. any thoughts?

It‘s currently not politically oportun to add more measures. Wait for after the the referendum and then we‘ll see more measures introduced. Meanwhile more people get infected and it‘ll take longer to get them down to an non-problematic number.

Just the look at stats of positivity rate comparisons between Austria and Switzerland tells you a lot. Our numbers are unrealistally low, contact tracing does not work

We will see in 1 week. Just wait.

It’s not intelligent to take more restrictions just before the votation. After that (it will pass, according to the actual surveys), the conseil fédéral is going to take some measures, for sure…

I’m not sure whether our positive test numbers are much less realistic than Austria’s. Austria has a lot more COVID patients in the ICU (> 500 while we’re at about 150), which should be mostly independent of the positivity rate.

Austria might include negative test results of repetitive tests in their statistics while BAG doesn’t (e.g. positivity rate in ZH last week was 2.4% with repetitive tests included and 11.9% without). There may be other factors such as vaccine mix used in the two countries, how many people have recovered from COVID or demographics.

In any case, it seems clear that right now the situation in Austria is worse than in Switzerland. However, it may be similar here by the end of the year.

Additionally, universities and ETH domain test themselves; only positives get send on for ‘official’ testing. Thus, thousands of positives gt ignored.

what a 62% slap into the face of all those anti-people. no more whining on “silent majority” and such nonsense
