I would love to build a new PC. But these damn 5900X and 3080 Strix/TUF are sold out.
Hey guys, the proud (Polish
) production of CD Projekt, Cyberpunk 2077 is out. I canât really call myself a gamer anymore, I have not played any recent game for years. But for big open-world titles like GTA or Cyberpunk I feel tempted to play. But I donât want to buy a console or a gaming PC just for 1-2 games.
So what is your experience with cloud gaming? I see that you can play C2077 in Google Stadia and GeForce Now. Iâm tempted to try one of these. The advantage of Stadia is that I have Google Chromecast, so I could buy the controller and play on the TV. GeForce Now, on the other hand, has Steam games in their library, one of which is Cities Skylines, a game which I always wanted to play (Iâm a big citybuilder / economy based games fan)
Hi Bojack, I can really recommend Nvidia Now, I am using it since beta, now for something like 2-3 years. Before in the beta, it was free so it was great for me because I did not have that much time for gaming anyway and I did not want to buy a gaming PC or console. Nvidia now lost some games and studios (namely blizzard what really pissed me off) overall experience is quite good. Never had issues when connected via cable. On Wifi it sometimes gets clunky and definitely not a great experience when playing online games (had issues playing WoW Classic). For games like Witcher 3, Kindom Come Deliverance or Tropico (city builder/dictator simulation) probably really good mustachian option how to occasionally game and not to spend arm and leg on HW.
I tested Stadia a few times both on PC and Chromecast Ultra (4K) and it works pretty well. I do however like the idea of bringing your own Steam library which you can do with GeForce Now a bit better over the closed ecosystem of Stadia.
I understand Stadia has recently opened up in Switzerland? There is a 1 month free trial as far as I could see.
Does GeForce Now work in Switzerland or requires a Proxy/VPN?
afaik it works right out of the box.
I managed to get hold of an Xbox Series X.
CP2077 looks like a 10-year old game on it.
Very strong Deus Ex vibes though, have played only 30 minutes, but I think the game itself is great.
Thereâs some confusion on what size the game should have. Some say on XB1 it should be 80gb, but everybody has 60gb.
If thatâs true, then I know why it looks so crappy: the textures are missing.
Meh, Iâll just go fishing some âlegendary fishesâ
in RDR2 while the world figures out what went wrong with Cyberpunk.
I paid for the âfoundersâ subscription and get this when I login. I guess it will take some time until it becomes reliable. But once I got in, Iâm positively impressed. It works really smoothly even through my crappy Salt Fiber WiFi.
I got the new game âCyberpunk 2077â for PS4 Pro and Google Stadia and Iâm really impressed with the Google Stadia! Maybe the future is the cloud gaming
This happened to me like once or twice during the last lockdown actually. I can imagine that the release of cyberpunk and lockdowns being a thing again did not help. What you can encounter as well is disconnect after 6 hours of playing. (In the beta it was something like 3hours and free tier is 1 hour)
Today it looks a bit different. No time anymore, just the number of players in the queue. Started with 350⊠In the morning there was no queue and I played Cities Skylines for a few hours. Really enjoyable, even if image quality is not the best.
@Bojack Cities Skyline free to grab on Epic Games store, thought you would want to know
Damn, bro, I already bought it on Steam for 29. I also see that the DLCs are very cheap. I have to say, Iâm not a fan of DLCs, especially for a game like this. There are so many of them, that I donât know which ones are worth it. And they sometimes change the gameplay a lot. And if you buy them all, you will have to pay a few hundred bucks. And then you have an issue with the game, you search online for support and then you see people asking âdo you mean the feature in the vanilla version or the DLC?â, âthis or that DLCâ.
My âgamingâ system is ready. Now I can play Tetris in full speed.

I was lucky to buy the mainboard and gpu used, which saved me 350chf and cpu on black friday promo (another 80chf). After 4h of installaing it⊠it works. And itâs not getting hot with the âopen caseâ and the fans near the window.
LOL
How do you manage dust? It wouldnât last two weeks in our flat without a fine white layer on top (perhaps Iâm wrong, but Minergie seems to have a penchant for increased dust circulation).
I have a compressor⊠and as itâs open and very accessible, cleaning every two or three weeks will do the thing. But I never had such a case, so weâll see in few weeks.
I allowed myself to shamelessly copy from your post and attach price & (non-affiliate) link information from digitec.
ok, buying stuff new would be >2k investment or ~1800 with your stated reductions. and the GPU is not available⊠but anyway impressive!
