When I run the automatic Steuerausscheidung after having filled the whole tax return, it magically adds a negative value to the 26.2 section, which in turn is added to my overall taxable income.
AFAIU, this field is there so that one can DEDUCT some taxes paid abroad. Last years it was always a (small) positive value, so it was resulting in a lower taxable income and I never paid close attention to it, but now it’s a 5 digit number getting added to my income and I am really puzzled.
I tried modifying several section of the tax return (e.g, income or deductions relative to properties abroad) but the number remains the same. I am clueless.
Any ideas? Deadline tomorrow
