Valiant scrapped the base fee for their lilas package. Additionally, they also offer:
- Use of the debit card worldwide at no extra cost
Free ATM withdrawals aboard (Only as part of the Comfort package, free in CH at Valiant/Entris ATMs)
Looks like a good alternative to Radicant/Alpian. It is also a more established player. And unlike WIR, they don’t ask for regular cash inflows to keep the package free.
The only information I was not able to find is the FX rate on payments by card in foreign currencies. Anyone finds it?

Not sure about the debit card, since I have Wise for spending abroad. But I guess it’s just as bad as for the credit card (1.75%). If it was good, they’d advertise it

Then not really a good alternative as a card to use abroad. Too bad.
I am currently in Lisbon and I used cash exactly at the bakery (because the bread is so cheap) so I will probably use ATM withdrawals less than one time a year which makes it pretty much useless to optimize for it.
In Lisbon’s metro you can ride ticketless. You just touch the gate’s card reader with your credit card when entering and leaving the station and you get billed the next day (like fairtiq).
