I agree with you and unregistered years ago. Here is the context:

  • I have a motorbike which I did not use for 2 years
  • I put the plate, it started once and never started again
  • Thought the battery was dead, bought a new one
  • Motorbike still not working and I receive the letter for the expertise

I have to bring my bike to a garage and fix it/whatever. My parking is down a steepy road with a barrier; I cannot push it up.

I can buy TCS 74.- right now for one year (-50 they give you with the free credit card), and they would come, try fixing it, and worse case bring it to a garage tomorrow. I can unregister in 9months, but meanwhile I’m stuck.

You can actually choose to be just a TCS Member without car assistance. It cost 32CHF per Year and you are then eligible for the TCS MasterCard Gold (100 CHF per Year).
You have to get back those 132 CHF back on the Benefit program (Discount on website, Shell, Tamoil, and so one) in order to be a better solution that the Amex Cashback Card…
