Quickline free mobile Black Friday offer

:waving_hand: Two years ago I got a two year free mobile subscription just before Black Friday 2023. It has worked perfectly including limitless free calling and roaming in Europe and Turkey but will soon come to an end.

Has anyone else who capitalised on this offer in 2023 looked into extending or negotiating another brilliant mustachian deal with Quickline or another provider in November 2025?

I would love to stay with Quickline as they provided such a fantastic deal but it is hard to negotiate with them if you don’t speak fluent German.

Thank you again to @swissteslabull @cortana @thriftysquirrel @xerox5003 @Kay4rElle @Barto @nabalzbhf @stufflikethat who shared details of this deal in 2023. It sounded too good to be true but actually over delivered as the service by far exceeded what I had with Sunrise.

I think unlimited with decent roaming, chmobile seems one of the best deal (slightly better than quickline).

I haven’t tried negotiating since I wanted to switch to swisscom network so don’t know if they’d go lower than their public offer.

Hey!

I got to say I’ve been also very happy with that offer. I truly appreciated that if you had a few bucks of expenses here and there, they don’t send you a bill every month, rather every 3 or 6 months.

I canceled the subscription to avoid the risk of being charged 3 x 75 CHF = 225 CHF after my current offer expires. Since there’s a three-month cancellation period, I proactively switched it to Prepaid so I can easily shop for the best new offer.

It all depends when your offer is expiring, if you still have more than 3 months, you could try to negotiate with them, or benefit of the current black Friday offer for 9 chf/month but its only CH and 2 GB b of EU roaming. Last year they had this offer for 5 CHF/month…so i don’t know if you want to try to ask them for that one too…

In any case it’s a good bargaining time now given all the offers already available for Black Friday

If you phone them and ask to renew your current deal they usually do it. Cause otherwise they know they’re probably going to lose a client so. I’ve done it multiple times over the years with multiples companies for both internet+tv and phone subscriptions and also told some friends to do so and it’s always worked. You just need to remember to do so before your current offer expires.

Were you able to cancel your subscriptions without penalties? I was about to do that, but then saw you can incur in a penalty if you do it before 2 years of contract. I’ve about 1.5 months left.

Just cancel for 2 months from now (and start your new contract when it’s cancelled). If you port your number afaik they do that automatically most of the time.

edit: also quickline has a 2 months notice period anyway.

After several attempts in German I believe there is no problem to cancel as I have four months left. I will call them back to try to negotiate together with a fluent German speaker. We just seemed to be going nowhere with my limited language abilities.

Thanks for your suggestions. If you find a better offer I would greatly appreciate if you would share it with me. In a perfect world I feel safer with unlimited roaming as I would need it if I gave it up even if have not used it that much in the last two years.

Ok so I was going to sign up again with Quickline for the new Black Friday deal but I just got off the phone with them and it’s not possible.. Welp need to find another option today so that I sign up today and the cancellation period doesn’t go one month over. (or can I still do it over the weekend maybe?)

They never called me back concerning the Black Friday deal exception that was supposed to be presented to the supervisor today. I called them back and after being cut off several times I got a hold of the guy I spoke to yesterday who passed me through to an underling in sales as the supervisor of sales was out of the office. They offered me the 50% deal with same coverage as we have today BUT only if I signed up for a combined TVA/internet deal which made the whole deal uninteresting as I don’t even have a tv and I use the Chf 5 extra SIM card for my home internet.

Quickline also clarified that we on the free offer have three months cancellation notice and not two which they normally offer. Additionally the cancellation must be done by snail mail with an original signature which if they play hardball would make it too late to cancel today as it is the date of receipt that is the rule in Swiss contract law.

It still looks to me that the GGA Maur - Mobile offer is the best if Quickline is out.

If we are several we could try to call Quickline again on Monday when the supervisor of sales is back and see if we can get an exception for Mustachians? There must be a fair number of us on the free Quickline offer that are ready to walk based on the current Black Friday deal.

FYI I had no trouble cancelling by uploading a scan of a signed letter. (this was a month ago)

Question:

I signed up with GoMo on Friday and selected the option to port my contract at the earliest date possible/end of current contract, which quickline told me is 27.02.2026. I did the ID verification on GoMo and received my contract but so far haven’t received a porting date confirmation via SMS so I’m not sure if they notified Quickline on Friday. What I’m afraid of is that they will only do it on Monday and so the porting date will be extended 1 month further (which at 70CHF I’d like to avoid…)

Do I have to do anything or since I signed up on Friday I’m in the clear?

Alternatively I could send an email to Quickline to confirm the porting and cancellation of my contract while it’s still November? Is there a known template I can use?

Unfortunately today none of the supports are available..

Speaking to GGA I decided to sign with them after they clarified that I can cancel at any time despite the 24 month contract. They guarantee the monthly fee of Chf 19.95 as described by @impromptu4930 plus they give me the extra Chf 5/month sim for free (after I pay Chf 40 for the main sim).

Interestingly the sales person mentioned that they are moving all their clients from Sunrise to Swisscom in the summer so I expect to get improved coverage in the mountains and at peak times when the Sunrise network can be wobbly as everyone is streaming/gaming at the same time.

As my porting date is end march I do not expect any problems with leaving Quickline. The three month cancellation notice is honoured.

Thank you to everyone who helped me find a solution post Quickline. :folded_hands:

They never said that — they said the discount applies for 2 years. But still, it’s one of the best deals ever. I’m still a bit salty (especially considering the price) that I chose Yallo before them.

I’m paying 10 CHF more per month for the “peace of mind” of not having to watch my data usage, even when abroad, but not being able to call international numbers is what really bothers me.

At the same price with the same conditions? That would be crazy good.

But I’m a bit skeptical, since the base price can still be increased and they’ll just say, “It’s still a 50% discount…”

They promised the same price with the same conditions but using Swisscom.

i specifically asked them to confirm that there would be no price increase or change to the package during the 24 month contract also after moving to Swisscom and they confirmed that there would be no changes for 24 months.

I guess only time will tell if that will actually be honoured. :crossed_fingers:

I just moved from my quicklying 0.-/Month to the black friday deal of 9.-/Month and after some minor hickups everything worked out well.

I have to add, that i cancelled my contract and set my number to be deleted before the black friday deals came out.. so i could just re-sign with them as a new client. Funny..
