Hello Mustachians,
Has anyone who finished the Naturalization process, received any grief or got challenged for owning a property outside of the gemeinde where the applicant resides?
More details and context:
I currently live in a popular and international gemeinde where the the older rental buildings(such as the one I’m in for the last 5+ years) are getting torn down constantly. Optimally, I can stay in mine until the naturalization process is closed. I’m contemplating buying RE somewhere more affordable to rent out or eventually to move in.
While looking through the required papers and certificates for naturalization, I could not find anything specific relating to real-estate ownership.
Since the process is focusing on how integrated the individual is in the social life of the particular gemeinde (Verein memberships etc.), it might raise questions why the applicant has real estate elsewhere. Am I overthinking this?
Thank you for sharing your experiences/thoughts.
