I did check the general terms and it says that it is valid worldwide but I am not sure if I can actually consult a lawyer based in Spain? and more importantly if property law is covered.
I believe I need to speak to the insurance provider but only wanted to check if anyone had any prior experience dealing with any insurance provider.
Iâm in the process of chosing a legal insurance, as my significant other wants it. There are âneutralâ ratings such as
But what is a rating worth when the essence of the service is not covered? I do not really care how nice the website or the pricing is. I need them when facing a legal case. As many mentioned, the interests of the insurance with you as a client are not well aligned. Legal insurances
- may refuse to serve you (for whatever reason)
- may ask you to shell out the attorney costs yourself and cover only in case of success
- may cancel your contract when you get too costly for them
- may have excluded important law topics
When I search Google reviews or Trustpilot, I find lots of good reviews and a few really bad ones - where people were probably left high and dry. So some real use cases may help more in selecting a good insurance. Non-profit oriented companies would probably work best.
Also, this list does not contain Emilia which I think is a strong candidate overall. However there is basically no âreal reviewsâ about them, even less than from the others.
I guess legal insurance activities are often very private/personal, hence people feel less motivated to actively/publicly review them than e.g. car insurance (besides having fewer insured people overall).
Thinking about getting legal insurance. Justis seems pretty good, I also like the cheap price. Did anyone get this?
Yes. Since a couple of years already and used their service on legal advice for different matters. They were always prompt and responsive and you would get a message and usually also a call to discuss the issue and get some advice. Can recommend it.
Can they help you if you have issues with your landlord ? Like contacting ASLOCA and covering the costs in case of rent increase ?
Check their webpage to be 100% sure (or text them on WhatsApp) but Wohnen is included in their service so they should be able to help I believe.
After reading again this thread and other options, I have registered to the private legal insurance Dextra through the Viac link for 240 chf without the Move.

It seems similar to the Packet L at 289 chf.
