Multiple pensions?

I have worked in Poland, Germany and Switzerland.
do I get a pension in each of this countries?
does it matter in which country i will be leaving?

I’m 35 and never thought about pensions, expected to get nothing or near nothing

Poland and Germany are EU and Switzerland has an agreement with them, so yes, you will receive from all.

Though note that some countries may have minimum requirements to get a pension in the first place so if you worked in a country just 1-2 years it is entirely possible you wouldn’t get one (I believe the UK is such an example, but that may have changed since my parents last looked into it).

You have an exception in Switzerland as well. If you’re not entitled to receive your pension abroad, you can get a full refund of your AHV contributions (employee and employer).

You might still get a pro-rata pension. The UK normally requires 10 years of contribution to their system before you become eligible, however as part of the EU system they are required to count years in the EU / EEA / Switzerland towards those qualifying years and then reduce to the actual years pro-rata.

I’m unsure if Brexit changed much in this regard, in my understanding they agreed to honour this for the years before Brexit as part of the withdrawal agreement.
