LOEB credit cards

Hello!

Bern people, I am looking for feedback on the free LOEB credit cards. I am interested in having a high non-Amex cashback in any store.

So far, it seems that:

  • It is managed by BonusCard.ch that allows many mobile payment and invoice payment options.
  • A classic Visa is issued until a (reasonable) spending threshold triggers the issuance of a Gold card (Fr. 2’400 over 24 months)
  • The cashback is excellent BUT (please confirm) might only be spent in fancy Loeb stores?

I would apprecite some customer feedback. Thank you and happy new year!

This is the catch. What does it help you to have 1% cashback locked up in LOEB vouchers which you then have to spend on items that have a 20% surcharge compared to cheaper stores?

Also the up to 4% cashback from Loeb purchases wouldnt make up for the premium you pay.

Thank you, that’s what I thought.

Without making it overly complicated, there are sometimes ways to exchange store vouchers for almost-cash, such as SBB Giftcards (as many of us, I have a relatively high SBB spending).

Then you can consider the IKEA credit card as an alternative.
