Legal Protection Insurances: Experiences with Emilia Rechtsschutz?

Hello everyone,

I’m currently considering whether to take out legal protection insurance and, if so, which one. Does anyone have any experience or insights regarding “Emilia Rechtsschutz”? This is a product offered by AXA-ARAG Rechtsschutz AG. They promote it as being simple and emphasize that they cover all legal areas except those explicitly excluded, which is the opposite approach of most legal protection insurances that specify what they do cover. This suggests that Emilia might offer broader coverage than other legal protection plans, and at a good price. It sounds promising, but since I haven’t found any reviews or experiences online (they’re still relatively new), I wanted to ask here.

Personally I have no experience when it comes to an actual legal issue, but apart from that they were always very responsive. If you have a question they will take their time and explain you everything on the phone (sometimes even the COO himself). If you trust these words, then it is a good deal IMO.

Make sure that you are fine with the “not insured part” they transparently list on their website. If you are, then I don’t see a reason to go with AXA-ARAG, as Emilia is cheaper and I also haven’t found any negative experiences with them online, including the verdict of steigerlegal that you linked to.
