Investing+rental guarantee instead of deposit : good or bad plan?

As of now I would stay away from Evorest. We can safely assume that they would need to grab a significant market share of the rental deposits accounts to break even on their costs. Even the largest banks consider MKK as a loss-making business.

Keep in mind that each client only brings a few thousands AUM with them, property managers may not be convinced to work with them, and still many people don’t want to be anywhere close from an investment account or new players.

They may break deals with large property managers, which would make the outlook much better though. Future will tell, but it is definitely appreciated to see those kind of solutions coming on the market.

If you own ETFs elsewhere then I don’t see a big problem. Sell, transfer funds in and re-buy.

If you plan on renting long term this could be a really nice optimisation and I would investigate it and try to do it if I move. 6% return would mean that a 12k CHF deposit becomes 220k CHF after 50 years.
