Hi guys,
I just need some advice about a few career choices I have to make.
I’m currently doing an apprenticeship at a multinational company (one of the TOP 3 Swiss companies worldwide), and I’m really grateful to have been working there for the past two years. I’m going to finish my apprenticeship next summer, but I’m not sure whether I want to stay in the corporate world in the long term.
I would love to work in real estate, but I’m not sure how much wealth and long-term opportunities it can create for me. I’m also considering wealth management, which is a prestigious career that I could pursue in Geneva or Zurich. However, the studies and career path required to reach a senior position seem quite long.
For now, I would really appreciate some feedback.
Corporate life: I could choose to stay with my current company, potentially travel internationally with them, have a stable job with a good salary, and invest my income over time.
Real estate: This would probably involve more grinding, starting as a real estate broker (Makler) and eventually moving into real estate development. My long-term goal would be to develop my own projects with partners and eventually become independent. That’s one of the main things that attracts me to real estate.
Wealth management: This seems like a prestigious career that I could pursue in Geneva or Zurich. If I become successful and build a strong client base, I could potentially become independent in the future and even move to a bigger financial market such as Singapore or Hong Kong.
Last but not least, tech sales: I could take more of an adventure and try to build a career in sales abroad, for example in Ireland or the US, although I know getting the right visa and opportunity in the US can be difficult.
So, what is my goal?
I want to enjoy the process of building wealth while also enjoying life. At the same time, I would love to build a future where I have financial independence and the freedom to choose how I live and work. I speak french english and german so I don’t mind changing my path for a better lifestyle.
I’d really appreciate any advice or feedback from people who have experience in these fields.Specially in Real estate and Wealth Management.
Thank you, and take care!
Z
