Hi there ,
Is there any mustachian with a Basic Insurance KVG from company A, and Supplementary VVG from company B (and maybe C)?
Could you share your experience?
What I am wondering:
- Do you have to submit your claims twice or it’s managed automatically?
- Will the two insurers bounce each other thus delaying or even denying reimbursements?
- are there risks of first closing a supplementary and then being denied to start a new one?
- is there any calculator online showing the best combination of cheapest KVG, and then best dental, best gym refund, etc.
Thanks!
There might be some cases where an issue/a invoice would be covered by both insurances. In this case it is important to direct the invoice directly to the one with the better coverage (eg VVG).
If the bill is sent directly to the KVG and you have high franchise you wont get any money back.
Especially tricky is it when the Invoice is sent directly from the Hospital to the insurer. I had it once that they send it directly to KVG without informing me. Afterward I sent the invoice copy to the VVG insurance but they refused because the KVG insurer already accepted the cause (but me not getting my few 100 bucks back since I was at 2500 franchise).
If you are aware of that it is pretty easy to handle. Anyway, KVG is easy to change, so always do it when you can safe money.
