Is there something like https://www.freewill.com/ for Switzerland?
Or is the Swiss inheritance system frigging deterministic?
I am only aware of this service: Manage the transmission of your data and assets · tooyoo.
My understanding is that it does not deal with the financial aspects (would need to visit a notary for that I assume), but takes away the hassle of all the small things.
Personally I would not use this service, I would take the approach of compiling all those information in a document which can then be handed over to the executors at my death.
Quick update: still here.
What happems if after the will is written law changes make some points of the will illegal? Does the whole will become invaild
Normally in a contract you always have a clause which prevents that (Basically saying if one point is deemed illegal, than it does not mean that the whole contract is illegal). I would expect a will to be the same (key point : salvatorische Klausel in German =salvatory clause).
I have been looking into this topic and following tooyoo.ch there are apparently 3 important documents to have:
- Will
- Lasting power of attorney
- Patient Decrees
More details here: Templates and wizards · tooyoo
Feels like the process for the 3 docs without paying anything is:
- Handwritten
- With place, date and signed
- Stored at home where it can be found
How did you do it? The holographic version? Is it really 100% valid?
