What is the meaning of the “categories” of stocks/ETFS on Degiro (i.e., the letter that appears after the stock or ETF name)? I have found nothing explaining this on Degiro’s site and it is bugging me!
ETFs appear to be categories A, I, D, G, & F… Stocks are A, B, C & D. Seems weird to have this information for each security without any explanation.
Hi there, the letter refers to the category of risk Degiro assigns to the security. Each category has different margin requirements. Only useful if you do margin trading.
