Crypto.com cash/cryptoback credit card

I can unstake in 29 days… my 3500 euro stake is worth around 2000 euro (rewards included)

50% loss for 2-3% cashback…
Some will say that with crypto, you have to look at the long term :upside_down_face:

Lol this is not my crypto portfolio but just an experiment im totally fine to loose and which i will hold.

What I meant to say was that in both cases (cashback and CRO), it is interesting to take a step back and look at both the potential gains and losses. At the end of the day there is only a gain/loss if the amount is cashed in, everything in between is just volatility .

It was still a good feeling today to buy something worth 300chf with CRO coming from rewards

Ps: i will not unstake

This is perfect! I was looking into the benefits of using this card on a daily basis. Now I can’t think of any!

How to make a speculative product totally useless… Might as well kill the CRO token right now…

Buy at the top, sell at the bottom. Degen trading style.

Basically they just destroyed the whole idea behind staking and the visa card?

First thing first: are you sure it is not a joke/fake?

Coinbase offers 4% rewards without even staking. (Usa only so far). This move sounds like self destruction if not fake news.

CEO tweeted the same. Unlikely to be fake news.

Well the card itself is technically still pretty attractive for any non-US citizen due to the lack of other competitive cashback cards. The issue here however is mostly that the CRO price will very like tank pretty badly which combined with the lack of staking rewards makes it a bad investment.

I think you jinxed it :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh if only I hadn’t said anything. Must be all my fault. :smiling_imp:

It is still a good investment if you use it in the EUR area, imho. The problem is for who is using it in CHF because of the triple FX exchange.

Indeed, I will still keep it but no longer use it in CH… the exchange rate risk makes it useless now compared to the amex cashback.

Any good alternative to the crypto card in Switzerland?

It never was profitable, honestly it was just a matter of time i think.

They already got a lot of backlash for the earn reductions (not available in switzerland) and now this. The only benefit I see is they still pay for Netflix, Spotify, etc, but who knows for how long?
