It’s not free, but at $3 $5.40* per month the GLM-4.7 plan is amazingly good and way cheaper than Claude code at $100 per month.

I’m hardly using Perplexity any more even though I still have the free Pro account. I will cancel this when it expires. Now I’m using only:

Both Gemini 3 and ChatGPT are very good, but for coding, I quickly exceed the limits of the free tier and so need a subscription plan. I’ve used DeepSeek before but stopped using it after it hit the news and the servers became very overloaded. I still have some credits on there, so will re-check it to see if it has improved.

@dom.swiss @markus654 Is your Perplexity Pro (through DealDoktor via that super sketchy page) still working?
Since today Perplexity wants me to enter payment information:
To continue your Pro trial, we must have a valid credit or debit card on file.
You will not be charged until your trial ends.
Even though the “trial” is still valid for 1+ month. It is still possible to buy new voucher codes, but I doubt they allow another year of trial.
I hardly use it and have not yet noticed any nudging. My subscription is running until April 25. What you are describing feels like the customer stickiness any money making business should display.
