CHF accounts with best interest rates: discussion

I just got a message from WillBE that their interest rate is lowered to 1.30% (<50000chf)

New table applicable as of 22nd March:

Total deposit EUR USD CHF
up to 50,000 3.80% 4.75% 1.30%
up to 100,000 3.50% 4.45% 1.00%
from 100,000 0.25% 0.25% 0.25%

Summary

  • Willbe: 1.3% <50000 CHF / Any withdrawal
  • Cembra: 1.85% no limit? / 20000CHF withdrawal or 6 month notice
  • Radicant: 1.5% <250000CHF / no withdrawal restrictions
  • Cler: 1.8% for one year <250000CHF / withdrawal 20k per year only (a bit obscure conditions imho)
  • Alpian 1% up to 50000CHF and 1.5% after that. - However quarterly fee might apply if deposit is below 50k CHF. / Withdrawal without restrictions (apparently)

am I forgetting anything? I am thinking to move the money from WillBe to Radicant, experiences welcome. Howeveer with recent cuts on SNB rates, I expect some of those also might change conditions.

Yeah I would wait, more will follow.

I’m currently with Alpian for 1.5% (from 50’000-1’000’000). Nothing spectacular, the app seems to be a bit overloaded but works pretty ok. However, I also guess that interests will fall down very quickly now. I hope to get clarity how much cash I need soon to move back in equity.

Just when in a month my yearly bonus comes in and I have to convert into USD to invest it
.

I’m having a trip to the US next month and this week hurt to watch  . Should have converted earlier haha

and a few days later Radicant does the same, effective today:
"Due to the recent interest rate cut by the Swiss National Bank (SNB), you will now get up to 1.25% interest on your everyday account.

  • 1.25% for balance of up to CHF 250,000
  • 1% for balance higher than CHF 250,000"

WIR is now the best.

Not really
 Cembra still better.

This? (1.85%)

See footnote 1; I’m expecting them to react within the next couple of weeks (just like the rest did).

Yes 1.85%, well WIR keeps 1.8% until 28.02.2025 so @Ardius is right.

Cembra’s interest dropped today to 1.6%

How easy is it to open their Sparkonto Plus?
From the website seems I need to call them or go in person?

I opened the Sparkonto Plus 2023 (promotion ended this March and I wonder what’s the current rate now).
If you donÂŽt go to a WIR branch, you must send an authenticated copy of your ID (by the post office) along the paperwork. They will send you the documents to fill in if you arrange a phone call from their website.

1.35 % is not that bad. On the other hand, I also have a Cler Sparkonto plus whose interest will drop to 0.8% in June.

Does rerouting money from my old WIR sparkonto to a new WIR one through a 3rd party account count as “new money” ?

Same situation, please keep us in touch !

I don’t have it, but the DK of this Genossenschaft is open to externals.

They say it should be 1% higher than the Sparkonto of BKB so around 1.8%?

Some changes. Cembra now at 1.6% and Radicant at 1.25%.

Let’s see how long Alpian will remain at the 1.5% for their account. So far all good and monthly interest payment is a nice feature.

And now we are down on Alpian as well:
Tranches of deposits between CHF 0 and 100,000 → 1.0%
CHF 100,001 and 1,000,000 → 1.25%
CHF 1,000,001 and above → Costume made
