Can Swiss residents buy US-domiciled ETFs?

Hello

I ran a search on the forum and found only one thread dating to Jan 2018. Does anyone have a more up-to-date information?

I am moving to Switzerland soon and want to find out if Swiss residents can buy US-domiciled ETFs, without being categorised as professional investors? This is what IB does in the UK since July 2018, in order to get around the PRIIP/MIFID regulation by the EU.

It’s been never a problem here, PRIIP/MIFID doesn’t apply in Switzerland
