Does anyone have examples of the total potential costs of a new construction house/apartment, beyond the advertised price, or agreed upon price.
I wonder if anyone has paid for costs other than the agreed price for modifications, if so what are they. And what have been the quality of basic/standard finishings that are included in the price?
As well for apartments, what would be a good estimate of yearly condo/ppe fees?
First off, I don’t have any personal experience on the topic.
There’s a forum (German, but I assume you can use the translation function of your browser) here where I was reading a bit about the topic: https://www.haus-forum.ch
I didn’t bookmark specific threads but maybe you can explore a bit.
Then, I also I saw some SRF documentation about some home-builders, cost overruns etc. and I was deterred. The whole thing looks super stressful, advice is usually to get some professional help that has experience with building homes that will frequently (if not daily) check-in on the construction site and make sure they don’t make errors, and to anticipate delays so as to reschedule the things that happen later (instead of e.g. just shortening some wait times and then causing mold or whatever). This person should obviously not be affiliated with the other parties.
