it was meant to withdraw to a hardware wallet e.g. Ledger Nano:
Don’t do this. That’s not Bitcoin or Ethereum, just the BSC Chain that’s run by Binance (and quite new and in my opinion to be avoided)
So buy BTC/ETH with Kraken, right? Any advice on timing? I’m thinking to open a small position (e.g. 1k) and the buy the dip.
Thank you
Just buy, if you want to hodl. You’ll never know when it will explode again.
Same as usual, time in the market beats timing the market
That usually applies to productive assets with expected positive returns though. It’s not appropriate on speculative assets (you do need to time it).
With an average annualized return of 200% you don’t need to time the market, there is a reason why we say to #hodl.
The only timing you have to keep in mind is an halving cycle. Ideally, if you don’t need the money, you hold for a full halving cycle, meaning until roughly spring 2024 minimum.
Does the same apply to sp500 ETF? They in all-time high and I am currently holding cash.
That’s typically where the saying comes from, when people say market they meant stock market.
Looks like my dip just appeared!
Really nice. Hopefully, you added. I did (BTC,ETH,LINK,XRP,KSM).
are these worth it? I was hoping to just buy BTC/ETH
Well, BTC/ETH are kind of blue chips. The other altcoins are like a nice addition to the portfolio, because the potential of a price explosion is bigger. I have max. 10% in those altcoins. So I have 90% BTC/ETH, 7% from top 10 (from market cap), and rest from top 100.
I usually buy and hold, but if a coin makes 100-300% in several weeks, I sell 80% of that coin for BTC or ETH.
Hi,
How do you usually buy the BTC? I did Bank => CHF in Kraken => Convert to USD (15USD fee) => USD to BTC.
Is there a better way?
You can buy directly with CHF. Sometimes it’s even better price compared to USD. At least, you don’t have to convert to USD.
and then buy BTC using CHF?
Yes, on Kraken you have trading pairs. You can buy BTC and ETH with CHF.
