What is the net running fees (net to the babysitter) nowadays? Zueich canton but not city.
And how much should one consider if babysitter keeps both?

Good question, would love some insights. I read about it a bit when we were solicited by girls from the neighborhood. They even made a flyer for their business pitch, very cute.
I haven’t hired one yet, but from my past reading: 10 to 25 CHF per hour? Depending a lot on age, training, responsibilities etc. Think about a professional employment relationship with taxes and insurance vs. the older kid from next door helping out and play for 2 hours. The lines could be blurry.
This SRK publication summarizes the formal aspects. I found others online (as well as many other sources) that confirm the rates above.
With young teenagers where I know the parents, I’d actually double-check with those what they consider fair.
We hired one. I can’t remember what we paid, but it was the easiest money ever. Baby was asleep the whole time (from before she arrived until after she left), so she got paid to play on her phone for a few hours.
I want this gig too. Then I can get paid for my evening hours spent on Mustacian Post
Hey,
I hired one in Geneva for a corporate event, she was a young 18 y.o. that passed a the 10-12 hours CICR courses. She stayed from 7-10:30pm for 15 chf / hour.
It was the worst experience for my wife because our 2 years son cryed for 1 hour before falling asleep.
Educators from our local daycare with the official diploma ask 30 chf / hour. It is more expensive but your kid know them and that could help avoid a drama.
They have a local Geneva certificate delivered by a specialised school.
