Any runners out there?

I mean… we’re all very active in this forum because we want to have something to do all the time, no? It’s difficult for me to do nothing. Sure, running isn’t nothing, but it’s boring for me. And yes, I’ve already thought about having myself tested for ADHD. But that’s another ToDo :see_no_evil_monkey:

If it’s boring, you have to run faster!

Ok, I see myself out

If you allow me to extrapolate and exaggerate, this is the core issue of western society (since after WW2) behind many global problems.

Not necessarily worth it if:

  • you don’t feel like you are experiencing actual suffering from potential issues from it.

  • you suspect you might have it, are willing to look into strategies to handle it (or have already looked), have tried them and they do help enough to take away any suffering that might come from ADHD.

  • you are not after some sort of specific life/workplace adaptation that could be facilitated with a diagnosis.

If you are facing troubles that do affect your life negatively and you suspect they might be linked to ADHD, then a diagnosis may help and is worth searching for, assuming the suffering is sufficient to get you to actually get an appointment and go to it (them). (Some?) ADHD issues can be helped by adequate life strategies/tactics and can be medicated.

The fun thing with ADHD is that it has a Pokémon aspect as there are many qualifiers that can go with it. Mine is “impulsive”.

Good summary, in fact ADHD is an spectrum that can be higher or lower and affect your live in different ways, positive or negative depends on the activity.

With that mindset RE will be a pain in the a**
