There is Anno 117 Pax Romana that release the 13.11. It will be my first city builder, but from what i have seen it is good and i love the Roman period.

I don’t know how many of you use linux, but I just wanted to say that I’ve finally installed the Heroic Game Lanucher and I have to say that I’m really impressed

Thanks. I think I grabbed a few games from Epic but never played them when I took apart my only windows machine. Maybe I’ll be able to revive those games.

A mustachian way is to buy anno 1800 (cheap for the value), play, and buy anno pax romana later when price decrease

Yeah but i’m not a mustachian in all my life, i tend to be tempered. Be smart with money, but money is for living a happy life not to just accumulate without meaning

I’ve played those too. I don’t think I’d want to sink so much time into these sorts of games again!

Any recommendation for games that are:

  1. Not FPS
  2. Can be played in less than a 2 hour session (i.e. no 8 hour long strategy games)
  3. Can be played multiplayer over the internet with 4 or more players

I guess some RTS could fit in there including Age of Empires and Starcraft.

One of the best RTS I ever played (in a remastered version)

Really? Huge money grab, and actually worse than the original in the community’s eyes. I played it too and enjoyed it nonetheless.

Ah, ok. I played the original too. Didn’t read the community review, sorry.

Another one ! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: This time I played the original and remastered version and enjoyed both!

Damn! C&C! I was at school when I played this!

And for 3-4 CHF you get C&C and Red Alert !

Tried to play it recently (few years back). Hurting the eyes to look at the pixel mash, even if I grew up with it)

The remastered version is HD.

I used to play yuri’s revenge a lot

I played some of these games 10 years ago or so.

I always had an old PC so tended to buy games that were very old and play them after they were long over their peak popularity. That way the required PC specs were no problem.

Funny thing is, I since invested in a very fast GPU and was the best I ever owned, but I didn’t play a single game on it :frowning: (I bought it for AI).

I recently got into playing Beyond All Reason. Great RTS game, small, but enthusiastic community and even a decent AI to play against. On top of that, itā€˜s open source and free (financed by donations, so no ads or microtransactions).

Bought a used PS4 with the sole purpose of playing Bloodborne. I am now playing Bloodborne and realising it’s worth the hype as a masterpiece.

The new Fable looks good ! Hope it will live to the expectation

And just like that…I haven’t played a single minute on my PC since that fateful day, now teetering between getting a used PS5 AND PS6 when it comes out or simply waiting it out for PS6. The convenience of plug and play is huge, lounging on the sofa while playing is huge, and I am finding that the PS network is very impressive for its…convenience. Also the PS4 controller is a dream, and I am reading the PS5’s is even better.
