Am i tripping or did the price of RTX5000 cards just increase by 200-300 CHF today?
They are all increasing.
Here a win-win suggestion (if your living space allows):
Get a projector (UST is nice) and a collapsible ALR screen (if your walls are not flat).
There is no black (square) hole for the empress to complain about when not in use, and you can get up to 150" screen when you want it. 
For the price of definitely less than an OLED of 70-100".

With Sony (and probably Microsoft too) going digital only in 2027/2028 I probably won‘t ever buy a console again to be honest. I‘m absolutely against the „you‘ll own nothing and be happy“ development we‘re currently seeing everywhere.

I’ve toyed with the idea on and off for 15+ years, but decided to go for it only when we know where we’ll live “forever”.
Edit: was not aware of UST, looking it up now, things have evolved since I last looked!
I was thinking about buying one, as we do not want to have a tv screen in the living room, but sometimes it would be comfy to watch a movie on the sofa. UST projector only, not the classic one fixed on the wall. I do not need something fancy (once in a while a movie with wife and children, live sport), streaming from the laptop. We have a big white wall, the painting has a little bit of profile. What would you suggest? Or which price range has best risk/reward?
I am myself in the middle of “research” as well, so can’t say yet.

Since USTs have even more trouble with the “rough” wall surface (because of the extreme angle at which it throws the light, and at which it needs to bounce off to your eyes) like our apartment has, I am slowly starting to realize that without some sort of a (ALR) screen it’s likely not even worth a try. 
I might rent an Xgimi Aura for a day on Sharely, to see how bad it gets.

Good point, our walls are textured too. I am reading that you can get an HDMI transmitter/receiver, do you know if there’s lag, especially with gaming? I certainly don’t want to faff with stray wires, plugging/unplugging devices etc.
As I said I’ve toyed with the idea of getting a projector for ages, my stumbling block has always been that doing it WELL, so not just a gimmick, costs a lot and requires some thinking, that’s why I wrote I’ll revisit it when we (finally) settle down somewhere.
It’s looking good though, when I first looked projectors were massive, noisy and pretty damn expensive!
The internet is plastered of negative comments about MS. It seems they kind of want the eggsbox to die.
They just had someone very incompetent running it for the last few years. Thankfully he’s gone, but maybe the division has been permanently damaged.
Actually they are all about the new inexperienced boss, seen more as a sacrificial lamb.
The new guy would need to try very hard to do worse than Spencer. So far he seems to be doing OK.
Am/was super excited about this game, now I feel it looks clunky, and the lack of commitment to 60FPS is inexcusable. Frankly it looks like a Skyrim mod:

It really doesn’t look good…I mean Witcher 3 of 10+ years ago looks like that, but if anything more fluid than this. And let’s not talk about FROM Software and Team Ninja games in terms of making good combat, I believe European/US developers need to take a trip to Japan to learn how to make proper combat games.
I mean, I’ll still going to play it most likely.
