Not sure what you mean by that, but I’ve used Revolut to convert 5 figures sums multiple times without issues. So send CHF/EUR from one account, convert, transfer the money to another account, all in my name.

You can transfer money to any account. I have recurring payments set up.
The only thing they have an issue with is when you pay into the account using a credit card and then transfer the money to your bank account. At least it was like that when credit card top ups were free.
Really? Would they block the following sequence?
Top-up Swiss francs via Cembra MasterCard, for free
Exchange to euros, for the typical weekday Revolut fee of 0.3%
Free SEPA transfer to a euro account I hold.
Thank you!
Does it mean they could apply cash withdrawal fees?
I have the Cembra Ikea and the Swisscard Cashback Mastercard. If I remember correctly, cash withdrawal fee is 3.75% with a minimum of Fr. 5 ![]()
No. It is a funding transaction as opposed to spending, not a withdrawal.
The title is “all about Revolut”, so I suppose it fits… Revolut is opening (or has opened) offices in Zurich. They are looking for a “Head of Technology Operations”
Hi all. I have been using Revolut for years. Recently I accepted some new terms and conditions and I think that was the trigger for some ‘Address verification’ process. I am stuck with the uploading of a document that verifies my address. Dentist and other bills are not accepted. I finally uploaded a bank account statement where I redacted the saldo. All nice and clear pdf files. Not accepted every time.
My accounts all work fine… it is just annoying at this point. Any tricks or docs that worked for you?
Thank you in advance.
No tips, but I can confirm that Revolut’s verification processes are the worst.
Once they just froze my account for weeks, for no apparent reason.
Never rely on Revolut, always have a backup.
They were asking for my ID, which was weird to very the address. After answering their prompts a few times with no errors or signed that it failed every time, I had a video call with an ID company and it worked.
Took maybe a week altogether.
Went on holidays and sent few k to Revolut until realized they didn’t arrive. Did small amount test on same banking template just to verify if didn’t make mistake and next day they they are there. Wondering how long now will have to play cat/mouse game, ie. check with your bank if they really sent money as we didn’t receive anything….
I uploaded the phone bill (address visible) and it went through without issues
Revolut: Add money with no fees from us
I wonder if the current “free top-up” offer ist just a KYC exercise in disguise. It sounds overly complicated and feels like a convoluted scheme to issue more Swiss based debit cards. I will continue to fund Revolut for free via my bank account and try to stay away from any additional KYC.
“Your current account with Revolut Bank UAB complies with Lithuanian regulation. As you’re joining Revolut Switzerland Payments AG, Swiss law requires you to complete Swiss Know Your Customer (KYC) checks.
Once you accept the new T&Cs, the following will apply:
Your account will continue to be held with Revolut Bank UAB. However, your Revolut debit card will now be issued by Revolut Switzerland Payments AG under new Card Terms. This will happen when you complete the steps outlined above, and you won’t need to order a new debit card.”
Cash-like transactions are typically expensive though, and that certainly includes loading cashless payment methods.
While the exact fee structure for account funding isn’t explicitly stated in the Swisscard documentation I found, cash withdrawals, payments abroad or instalment payments are probably expensive.
I am curious about potential fees, and wondering if anyone funded a Revolut account from a Swisscard credit card recently?

I did, on October 2nd, so far there was no fee on either side.
Thank you! Was it with Cembra, or with Swisscard?
Actually I did it with both. Didn’t see any surcharge.
I used yesterday my Cornercard to topup my revolut account. No fees on the Revolut side, but 4% from Cornercard. Unfortunately I did not see this on the day I made the topup, it was only shown a day later.
Yes, but that is entirely on Cornercard’s side. Revolut has no influence on that. You simply have a credit card that is completely unsuitable for this purpose. See:
Money transfer/quasi-cash (e.g. through Western Union, Skrill or Revolut): 4%, min. CHF 1

Has anyone tried to load Revolut using their QR Code? It is not recognized by Alpian and Neon.
As far as I know:
The QR code contains a link that the payer scans with a normal QR scan app (usually your smartphone’s camera app) and contains a link where the payer…
This is not a QR invoice that you can scan with any Swiss banking app.
