All about Revolut [2025]

Hm not for me (at least yet) -
Still says “use a locally issued card”, even though my card is from UBS CH.
Is it because the account sits with the Lithuanian beneficiary (although bank says “Postfinance Bern”), so they expect a Lithuanian card?

They started on September 1st, gradually. So I guess your turn should come soon. And no, it’s really for Swiss cards. I tried with my Yuh card and it worked instantly, without any fees.

Do you know what MCC code the transaction had?

I’m sorry I don’t what it is
But if you tell me where to find it I will have a look.

Does Yuh say what the transaction was for, like ‘cash advance’ or ‘financial services’, or some such?

There is no report or such sorry. Only “card payment”…

The first question they have asked me, was the range of my income (with the disclaimer that it’s not shared with anybody). So what they are asking that for?

At least, I don’t recall having to disclose my wealth to Neon or Radicant (but i’m not sure). However, I did have to do so for Saxo and IBKR, which also offer stock trading, etc., which Revolut can also do. Maybe this is a regulatory requirement, depending on the product portfolio?

I almost clicked all the way to the end, but I’m not sharing that information with Revolut. Neon did not require that information.

I thought I did the transfer several month ago but apparently I got again today the email (several) and in app question to switch to “free topup with CC” or else..

or else what? Why asking me twice?

If I’m right about what you ask, last time it was to change the account to Revolut bank UAB in Lithuania.
Now it’s only related to the cards, changing to “Revolut Switzerland Payments SA”. First thing is free topup for all customers of Revolut.
And I guess the “else” means “future features” you will not have if you don’t “upgrade”.
Only supposition..

I did right now the ID check. The process is a little strange cause is a video call with Revolut’s employee which check your ID card and takes some photos.

I’m curios to check if it is possible to get a cashback by chargin the Revolut account from a Certo One Credit Card :joy:

You are 5 years or so late for it.

OMG can I really get a cashback of 0.3% from Cembra by chargin the Revolut account??? It seams really a “free lunch”. Did Cembra never noticed that? Is Revolut that pays the fees?

No you can’t, it’s a “cash” transaction…

Ok, thx for the clarification.

A little strange is an understatment.

When I did it I got the most impatient and unmotivated agent. It felt like a border control entering the US with answering questions like ‘why do you want to verify yourself’.

I don’t want to, you asked me to. :man_shrugging:

In an unrelated note: have anyone moved money out of revolut? Is it free?
