We know we shouldn’t try to catch falling knives, but some of us just can’t help ourselves. We usually end up cut and bleeding, but sometimes, just sometimes, we successfully catch so let’s celebrate the (sometimes very temporary) wins here.
Up 24%: CNR bought in the last days for $58.58 (vs 52 week low of $58.28). Currently $73.40.
This round I didn’t do too well. Too early and too high with my buys.
Isn’t that a counterexample of “(attempting to) catch a falling knife” (which would cut you seriously if you did)?

People try to catch knives by the handle, but often fumble and cut themselves on the blade. Hence the saying “don’t try to catch a falling knife”.
This is an example of a successful handle catch. For each one of these, I have maybe 10 blade catches 
Yep, it’s a totally “wrong” example, esp. for a topic-opener. Maybe the lesson/example will be complete in a few days when CNR is at $40.
Hence the ‘very temporary’.
