Daughter: 1, USA/GB, causing chaos in our apartment in Zug

Goals:

• Set ourselves up for a comfortable retirement. We both enjoy our jobs, so retiring super early is not necessarily a goal.
• Set our kid(s) up financially well in life
• Continue to travel extensively (though this can take a back seat while kids are small)

Methods:

• Live frugally, save roughly half of both our net salaries (though this will change if my wife takes time off work if we have any more kids)
• Invest in stocks (mostly VT, some in VWRL)
• Collect rent from two apartments I own in England

Principles:

• While we like to live frugally, we also like to be ethical about how we shop. I’ll happily pay 1 or 2 CHF more for free-range eggs from the local farmer, for fair-trade products, or for products that support the local economy

Non-financial goals:

• To persuade wife we should have a dog
