Just relocated in Zurich with family after some years in South East Asia. Trying to live on one salary, which is forcing us to real frugality after having double salary in Singapore. Saved a bit in Asia, mainly invested in Singapore Reits and UK-based index ETFs, following the Millionaire Teacher’s books (Andrew Hallam). Not sure if we can save any further in Switzerland yet, unless other half finds employment. Beautiful country but so expensive! Trying to work out how to pay Swiss taxes on foreign dividends, in spite of Quellensteuer (tax at source), as we are above the threshold and must declare, it seems. So glad to have found this site and useful information, and will try and share findings, although my German is quite basic and I rely a lot on Google translate!
