Personnally i really like “Two cents” channel. They are easy to understand, funny and cover a lot of different topic. You will probably not learn new stuff from every video they make if you’r already advanced in financial education. That would probable something that I would show to my children/teenage for educative purpose. Julien ---

Unfortunately only in USA. I haven’t found any YouTube channels yet that focus on interviewing people in Europe, let alone Switzerland. ---

I really don’t care tbh. The video overxaggerates the points a lot as well. I never got the impression he is claiming to be a sitting professor or a sitting hedge fund manager. He is stil an adjuct lecturer afaik. Also he presents his infos it in a very entertaining way, which is basically 99% of his USP. He is a financial news aggergator to me. I couldn‘t care less where he gets his infos and if it‘s mostly copy paste. It‘s the way I get this info presented on why I watch. I also couldn‘t care less about his credentials, I judge what I see. It‘s not that deep, people need to chill. Typical youtube drama farming. ---

But he is still claiming exactly that on his youtube: "Patrick Boyle is a hedge fund manager, a university professor and a former investment banker. " Sophisticated investors like you might be able to judge for themselves how to interprete this information and authority. I also find him entertaining and took some useful ideas away. But posing with fake credentials and plagiarised content towards his broad audience is ethically and morally questionable behaviour - at best.. ---

The description seems to be ancient at this point, his channel is not about quant finance since many years. That were his beginnings. Maybe he was still an active manager back then, and just didn’t update the description. It’s not like anyone reads youtube descriptions anyway. Again I still don’t think it’s that deep and where there is a big problem. ---

My take home about personal portfolio: -keep it simple, low cost and diversified -a data /scientific approach will help you stay the course -put some money where your mouth is (own business, field of Expertise etc) -personal education and work ethic play a role…as luck does -buying real estate is not a good Investment money wised, but can be the best one life quality wised -Your portfolio is just a mean, among others, to improve your quality of life, not just numbers in your account -Investing is personal I ask myself: does he have social security/ pension fund, or is he really 100% broad Equity + Private share+ mortgage +cash? ---

Very good video from Ben Felix. Things that I found interesting: - How does he manage doing al these videos with 4 kids and a full time job?? I guess it’s part of his job anyway… - The dimensional fund he invests in has a third of the allocation in CA equities (home bias). It’s exactly the same percentage from a paper than Ben Felix often cites (questioning the status quo). - No bonds, even if I guess they don’t have a tax disadvantage in CA as we have in CH, but has instead some cash. - For me, his PE allocation is actually an investment in his own business. It’s something he (partially) controls and really knows, so it makes sense. It’s like starting your company where you put part of your capital. - Knowing that he 's an Engineer I understand better his mindset. ---

It’s marketing for his employer anyway. Maybe the most-watched and most effective. He mentions PWL (his employer) in every video. I guess he also has video producers/editors that produce his videos. Also might have a scriptwriter as well. Nowadays you can delegate some of these tasks to AI too, I guess. ---
