# What platform do you use to buy Bitcoin?

My recommendation as in other posts is to use Kraken and store your cryptocurrencies once bought somewhere safe outside of the exchange. For example on a hardware wallet like this one: [Nano Ledger](https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/ledger-nano-x-bluetooth-backup-funktion-2-faktor-authentifizierung-crypto-wallet-10296605)  
Remember that having cryptocurrencies gives you the ability to really be in charge over your funds.
