I wonder if it’s doable on PostFinance, I haven’t managed to find it if it is. Then again, the level of returns doesn’t even approach peanut shells, let alone peanuts, with my portfolio’s size. Plus I wonder if there’s a market for shorting ultra vanilla stuff like VWRL.
@Dr.PI I mean for example, if I were to own SPY (which does securities lending and can be sold short) and enable lending at my broker, things are effectively lent twice? The individual shares owned by the ETF to someone and my share of the ETF to someone else?
Well, yes!
Though I don’t think an ETF is able to lend more than a couple % of its holdings.
